New better template manager

💡 Problem in Bentley Templates In Bentley software, defining dependencies between points requires creating a very large number of individual points. This makes templates complex, cluttered, and difficult to edit, since every relationship must be r...

Enhancing Named Boundaries: Updating Named Boundaries and Applying Geometry Rules

To enhance productivity and efficiency in live projects, we need dynamic Named Boundaries linked to Geometry. This includes the ability to update the shape or location of a named boundary after creating a sheet model, with the changes reflected in...

Haunched (angled) deck soffit at outside edges extending to top flange of girder

Our bridges are designed with a haunched (or angled) soffit at the outside edges of the deck. These extend from the outside edge of the deck down to the top of the outside girder flange. Right now, this can be fudged in a deck template on a straig...

Trench Templates to automatically constrain themselves based on the pipe size

Trench templates are used on pipes for fill quantities. It would be useful if you could place a trench that would automatically assign parametric constraints based on the size and pipe thickness of the pipes. Also, shapes other than a circle are d...

A way to manage multiple project ITL files

I'm not sure how best to implement it, but it's not uncommon to have multiple people working on a project with multiple corridor files. Having just one itl for the project would cause a lot of conflict and possible erros so multiple itl files are ...

Ability to define the slope of any points within the dynamic section using the measure tools

Having the ability to quickly check both existing and design crossfall/superelevation would increase efficiency within the program as there would be no requirement to run a template and report to evaluate existing cross slopes

Ability to export and import all corridor objects such as point controls to enable rebuilding of corridors

I know parametric constraints can be exported but if a corridor becomes corrupt then being able to rebuild it from scratch easily would be useful. Similar to an input file in MX

Deed Writer – Allow Single Line to Define Right of Way Boundary

In the Deed Writer tool (accessed via Geometry > Reports > Deed Writer), after selecting the reference alignment, the next step prompts the user to identify the Right of Way boundary. Currently, the tool only accepts closed shapes for this b...
