Stationing Text "View Readable" Setting to Honor Rotated Views

The "View Readable" Setting (SEE IMAGE 1) Should:

  • Display text as readable when looking left up the page when the alignment is at zero degrees as the industry standard ( SEE IMAGE 2)(note that the view is unrotated and North is pointing up)

  • Honor station readability when the view has been rotated (SEE IMAGE 3)(note that the view has been rotated such that North is pointing to the Left)

Possibly as a MicroStation engine service request. Make another text parameter that would be "View Independent 180". So that Vi180 texts would display at the angle they are created and only be allowed to rotate by 180 degrees if showing upside down against standard drafting rules. Rotates only when viewing angle is greater than 90 degrees right or left in the view.

This will keep alignment stations perpendicular to the alignment but be able to NOT display upside down on a sheet due to alignment geometry direction.
