Cuurently OpenRail implements a tool called Geometry Connector (similar to Multiple Horizontal element Regression Analysis in Power Rail Track). However similar geometry tool is not available for vertical geometry calculations. It would be possibly beneficial to add a similar tool when one works with vertical elements and wants to couple them. Furthermore, the inclusion of regression points just like in geometry connector for solving a geometry could speed up the proccess of creation profiles.

We are asking for this improve too for more than two years. Something as simple as inserting a parabola between two tangents fited to regression points, only can do it with an interactive and repetive process until the right solution is found. It would be very easy wtih a tool like Geometry Connector. This tool existed in Bentley Rail Track but but it has surprisingly disappeared in OpenRail.
