Allow for an elevation exaggeration in the 3d view/model

Letting users increase and decrease an exaggeration of the elevation data can help visualize drawings when looking from the side or angles.

I used this function in SS-6 Descartes when viewing point clouds. I could exaggerate the Z by a factor of 10, then set the view to color-coded elevations with a small interval, then I could locate high points and snap to the points on the cloud to define an alignment linestring. This would allow me to rotate the 3D view to better see the relief as well when snapping to assure I get the desired points. At that time the elevations of the alignment were helpful in InRoads as the linestring was 'draped' to the snapped points, to review existing verticals (just drape in ORD now). Needed now for the same process in ORD to define alignments in point cloud data.

Any drawing with small elevation changes can benefit from this by allowing the user to exaggerate the elevation to verify the accuracy of the drawing. Specifically, users that have large lateral projects that may have varying elevations at smaller intervals would be able to see these elevation differences more clearly.

Yes, I use the macro right now, but it is limited and annoying. It would be nice if we could create a feature definition that exaggerates the triangle elevations. Or if there was a way to save it in a display style. I like to exaggerate the elevations/z in order for hydrology, existing roadway analysis (super elevation etc...).

I was able to do this in Civil 3D and used it all the time to help design ADA ramps, flow paths, lot grading etc...

Can you give some examples of tasks when you'd like to use this?
