In InRoads/GeoPAK, planimetric lines or pattern lines could be placed, trimmed, and/or manipulated before using said lines for cutting cross sections. Placing named boundaries that can be manipulated to achieve this same purpose would speed the process up instead of having to place custom width named boundaries.
