When creating a profile view from 2D Geometry, there is no way to show the Point Cloud data which may attached to the model. When performing a "Create 3D Cut" the Point Cloud Data should be displayed. The only work around I have found is to create a terrain from the point cloud first, then show it as a surface in the profile view which is a lot more work than needed for the specific task which is to just to show the point cloud data along a profile.
