We need improved stroking control for corridors. Currently stroking for corridors is defined by configuration variables i.e. CIVIL_DEFAULT_CURVE_STROKING and CIVIL_DEFAULT_PROFILE_STROKING, for horizontal and vertical curves respectively, which takes effect when the Densify Horizontal or Densify Vertical are set to True in the corridor feature definition. Also, currently the stroking values displayed in the corridor feature definition are greyed out. The only way to change them seems through changing the configuration variables. This means that it is effectively not possible to have different corridor feature definitions with different stroking values. We need the Densify Horizontal Value and the Densify Vertical Value fields unlocked for greater flexibility. It would be also useful to add as additional option to let the base alignment stroking define stroking for corridors similar to linear templates.

I need this functionality as well, though will use in the opposite direction. For channel dredging we do not need stroking to hundredths of a foot, when we are dredging using a 6 foot to 12 foot diameter cutter... Plus should improve processing speed and reduce the number of daily crashes.

The ability to control the stroke definition of a corridor was merged with another idea
This enhancement is needed for greater flexibility in detailed modelling. In some scenarios point density on sideroads and junction areas in urban locations needs to be controlled independently from mainlines. Stroking on corridors is independent from stroking of corridor base line contrary to linear templates. The use of corridors to model outside of pavement backbone is also needed as secondary alignment option is broken in linear templates.

I too am looking for a setting like this that can be assigned to a 3d linear feature definition.
Reasons why this is necessary:
On a site design model, it reduces the number of triangles created during surface creation. Lesser objects created, means faster processing time.
On a tangent line without a horizontal, one will be able to easily identify a grade break location just by snapping on the the vertex. Currently, a tangent line is created with several vertices and its difficult to find the grade breaks without actually looking on the profile view of the linear geometry. If vertices are only graded on the grade breaks, this can be easily achieved with a tentative snap command. This beneficial when creating site grading plan drawings as you don't have look for the grade breaks by looking on the profile view.
On collaborative work with other disciplines, in my case where I closely work with the Pipelines group, where I design the horizontal and vertical geometry while they do the pipe modelling, they always use the 3D line created that is created from the geometry object. They can easily identify grade breaks just by looking or snapping at the 3d line. When there are several grips/vertices on the tangent of a 3d line, this is would be a difficult task to find if they are not looking at the profile, it is not marked/annotated on the model or not using Openroads
