In the first versions of OpenRoads we had the tool "Create Geometry by Template" which would create ruled geometry from a template . Fast way to for lay out geometry for a project. Not sure why it went away.
The "Create Geometry by Template" allows you to draw multiple geometry features at once. i.e., With the 3d button on I can create CL, EOP, EOTW , EOS geometry for both sides of an road alignment in a few clicks. Then set the cross slopes and I have 2d and 3d geometry. Vary useful on urban projects an interchanges where we need to create 2d/3d geometry for use with surface templates.
Info from OR SS4 Help attached for further info

Could you elaborate on what you are trying to achieve? That way we can make sure the software can accomplish the correct task. Thanks!
