When using the Place Gutter tool and using the Trace Slope option, it only allows you to use a surface to create the trace. This works well if the Surface is perfect, but there are times where a sag inlet is placed appropriately based on the roadway corridor, but a surface/terrain may have small errors that will create a local low point before the true sag inlet, resulting in an error when creating the gutter link. Would it be possible to make the options greater than just picking a surface? I imagine that if we are able to select a specific linear feature from a corridor instead of a surface, we would be able to bypass any processing errors that may come with a terrain model.
