In ORLD we have new functionality in the Regression Complex
This stores horizontal and vertical alignment information, holds a quick integrity check, and shows number and type of elements in the complex in an easy to manage way (with improvement needed ("fillet" is not an acceptable element - it should be line curve line)
When working with complex geometry where the profile has been defined, there is a risk that horizontal changes, dropping, re-stationing, trimming, removing intervals etc all break the associated vertical design - which is sub optimal.
I know that complex redefine exists, but is cumbersome to create additional horizontal elements, redefine the complex, and then remove the redisual
What I'd like is a tool like regression complex - a design complex tool - that holds the vertial alignment definition, chainage and eleveation of IPs and curve info, so that horizontal changes to plan elements can be made easily (for example - I dont know how to remove elements from a complex without dropping the complex and remaking it - which breaks the vertical)
This would be very valuable for all aspects of desgin
