When annotating elements using an affix (prefix or suffix) tied to a Text Favorite, OpenRoads currently annotates the affix even if the Text Favorite evaluates to a blank or null value.
This results in:
Stray symbols, separators, or units (e.g., “–”, “:”, “ft”) appearing with no primary value
Manual cleanup or conditional workarounds
Inconsistent annotation output across drawings
Add an option to suppress affix annotation when the associated Text Favorite returns a blank value.
This could be implemented as:
A toggle in the Text Favorite or Annotation settings (e.g., “Hide affix if value is blank”)
Or implicit behavior where affixes are only rendered when the primary Text Favorite resolves to a non‑empty value
Cleaner, more professional annotation output
Reduced manual cleanup and post‑processing
Better support for conditional and data‑driven annotation workflows
Improved consistency across plan sets and standards

When annotating to display notes made by the surveyor, it appears that all points are showing a grey text box even though there is no note to annotate. This did not occur with versions prior to 2025. Please enhance the software to not show blank text fields if there is nothing to annotate.
