After creating the delta surface, we could not determine the location of minimum vertical clearance. We tried the analyze surface tool and it showed us coordinates of the min/max locations. However, the locations were outside of the delta surface.
As we advance on our projects, we need to make sure both civil and structures can check minimum vertical clearance and also know where that location occurs. For example, if we had a more traditional type of bridge spanning over multiple travel lanes, and the bridge was say 70’ long x 50’ wide, the minimum vertical clearance could be anywhere within the plane of the underside of the bridge and top of pavement on the roadway beneath it.
