Suggestion to allow annotation and labels to align with plan named boundaries and sheet file plan views. For example, consider a plan named boundaries shape around a horizontal curve. If you have a separate standalone annotation file, often times, you need to determine (often by opening the sheet file and activating the referenced annotation file) the rotation and alignment orientation of the text. If you place a note or label in the annotation file and then open up the sheet file, you often find the annotation is slightly rotated / not aligned horizontally with the sheet, which is not aesthetically appealing. The current workflow to ensure and correct annotated text aligns horizontally with the sheet model is tedious and cumbersome. Having an autorotate text feature that will automatically align horizontally with the sheet model will eliminate a lot of headache for sheet presentation, especially as the best practices is recommended to have a separate standalone annotation file.

I agree and would like to see many alignment texts have a rotation choice similar to view independent, but that only rotates by 180 degrees (maybe a "view up" type?), preferably around the center of the text range box. This would keep the text orientation correct in relation to an alignment, but also in line with proper CAD orientation in the sheet where it is displayed. we have many closed polygon alignments for material disposal areas, so plan sheets make 360° rotation angles following the alignments. And many of our channel plans also have multiple bearing directions in a sheet, so we are constantly fending off comments to rotate text that is upside down on one sheet and correct on the next.
I am pretty sure this can be done to some extent by modifying settings within the Annotation, but the workflow is not ideal...
My guess is that you will need to be significantly more specific as to what elements you want rotated for Bentley to be able to implement this. Maybe an example plan sheet highlighting the issues?
