Existing terrain element concept and modifiers

Vectorworks Landscape, Revit 2024 or Virtual Surveyor (a drone photogrammetry software) treat existing terrain in a extremely effective way, but all of them lack the volumes and tools from OpenRoads.

What they do is genarating a solid from the existing terrain (add a depth to a TIN), then we can add other elements as modifiers that affect this existing terrain and make it a design (eg: adding a slab or a ramp).

Kind of what SiteOps does, but without the automation. The designer defines what is added or not and how the software should interpolate with the existing.

This would be a really nice tool for site design (OpenSite), landscapes and interaction with architecture.

Presentations would go to another level too. Specially 3D perspectives and sections.

Maybe an option for Plaxis Designer solids import (dream).

Check Vectorworks Landscape. If it had the civil advanced tools and capabilities from OpenSite, we would be using it instead.

    Not a problem. A improvement.

A better way to visualize existing vs design final terrain with better display. Closer to what architects have and want from us.
