Many companies/DOT's use ProjectWise Explorer Client which will apply attributes such as sheet number and total sheets to sheet models via tags. The only way to apply this on multiple sheets is to use the "One DGN Per Sheet" option. If a reference breaks in those newly created Sheet/Drawing model files, there is no way to correct the reference other than re-cutting the sheets. The reference is typically the DGN where the named boundaries are placed and has a "model" name which isn't really a model in the origin DGN as there is no way to navigate to it via the reference properties browse button. Many times a user isn't aware of the issue until attempting to plot because ProjectWise uses the local copy and it appears intact to the user. The Scan Reference tool will not fix it. This is very inefficient and cumbersome, especially if you have already done all of your annotation work. Re-cutting the sheets means having to redo all of the annotation. One cannot simply reference the original drawing models as it doesn't retain the civil connection and data from the element.
