If you have developed a complex ConceptStation model (including intersections, bridges, culverts, roundabouts, template transitions, street furniture, pavement markings, etc.), there is currently no capability to fully transfer the entire model between ConceptStation files. For example, if you export the ConceptStation alignments to an .alg file and then import into a new ConceptStation file, they import as separate alignments with the intersections, roundabouts, bridges, template transitions, etc. removed and you would have to re-do those steps in the new file. Additionally, if you were to export the ConceptStation model as a .dgn file and then import into a new ConceptStation file, all elements from the model import as un-modifiable ORD elements (similar to a reference rather than live elements).

This idea proposes the ability for all elements in a ConceptStation model to be able to be exported and imported between ConceptStation files. This workflow/capability could be useful when working on a phased project in which individual design segments along a corridor are initially developed in separate files and then joined together.
