So far Openrail designer contains a tool called create 3D cut for profiles.

It is very useful when one wants to show cuts from a 3D section across the track.

However one can choose only a specific distance from track.

There are cases (for example metro systems) where one must show accesibility from surface to platform (say through escalator or elevators). In this case one needs a variable offset, say between 8 and 10 m from the track described in the profile.

This could catapult the functionality of openrail in that regard, when one creates profiles which include cuts from 3D elements.
